Aquatic, green, balsamic
Landing Point is inspired by Tuckson’s father who worked in Singapore’s marine industry. From the historic Clifford Pier’s landing point, he boarded small boats bound for the open sea, tasked with servicing the larger ships moored just off the southern shores of the island. The fragrance recalls this ritual: early departures, wet docks, and the unmistakable scent of sea-worn wood drying beneath a relentless equatorial sun. Lunch breaks marked by the haze of dockside cigarettes, and a briny breeze that clings to cotton shirts and calloused hands.
Cucumber and fenugreek, aqueous and slightly vegetal open the scent with a cool, salty-wet freshness. The metallic-green snap of Violet leaf, like seawater kissed with green. Dry cedar and sticky labdanum conjure the texture of sunbaked planks, softened by the lingering haze of resinous, smoky tobacco absolute, warmed by the beating sun.
